Editorial policy

Useful first. Transparent always.

Our editorial process is designed to make calculator results reproducible and supporting information genuinely helpful.

Research and sourcing

Formulas begin with dimensional mathematics. Material yields, densities, recommended depths, and construction assumptions should be checked against manufacturer documentation, supplier specifications, government guidance, recognized standards, or university extension material where applicable.

Human review and AI

Automation and AI may assist research, drafting, code development, testing, and editing. They do not replace human responsibility for what is published. Calculator logic, examples, claims, and source interpretations are reviewed before a page is marked live.

Original value

We do not publish pages merely to target keyword variations. A calculator must perform a useful task, and its supporting content should address the specific material, inputs, assumptions, and decisions involved.

Corrections and updates

Material assumptions and explanations are reviewed when reliable new information, user feedback, or product changes identify a need. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly. Dates may be added when an update materially changes a calculation.

Commercial independence

Advertising or affiliate relationships do not change calculator formulas or editorial conclusions. Paid relationships are disclosed, and ads remain secondary to the tool experience.
